Testify in Support of Just Cause Eviction Protection

PUBLIC HEARING COMING SOON!

The public hearing for the Just Cause bill is coming up!

We are aiming for a strong showing at the public hearing with a diversity of voices and experiences, demonstrating broad support for Just Cause and the urgency of passing this legislation in 2026. We are also looking for lots of people to submit written testimony.

Tenants and allies, it's time for us to raise our voices! Use this form to let campaign organizers know that you plan to testify. We'll make sure you receive the link to formally register once the hearing date is announced.

PREPARING TO TESTIFY

The Just Cause Campaign (spearheaded by Connecticut Tenants Union, Make the Road CT, and CT Fair Housing Center) will host two testimony workshops:

Sunday, February 15th at 4:00-500PM (online, via Zoom)

Monday, February 16th, 6:00-7:00PM (online via Zoom)

We can also provide a testimony guide to help you prepare both oral and written testimony in support of Just Cause: bit.ly/testimonyguide2026

The workshops and guide will provide all the information you need to prepare for the hearing and to craft an impactful testimony.
