Job Description:

Our client, a faith-based organization, is seeking a Head of Marketing and Communications to help shape and drive its brand and message. This role is responsible for developing and executing comprehensive marketing and communication strategies aligned with the church’s mission and values.

The ideal candidate will oversee all communication channels—including digital, print, public relations, and internal communications—to ensure consistency, clarity, and impact across all touchpoints.


Key ResponsibilitiesStrategy Development
  • Design strategic marketing and communications plans.

  • Manage annual marketing and communication budgets.

Content Creation & Management
  • Oversee creation of engaging, value-aligned content across platforms.

Digital & Social Media
  • Lead digital strategies: social media, email, online ads.

  • Track and analyze performance metrics.

Public Relations & Community Engagement
  • Foster media relationships and manage PR.

  • Organize community outreach programs.

Internal Communication
  • Ensure effective staff and campus communication.

  • Produce internal newsletters and announcements.

Leadership & Team Management
  • Lead and mentor the marketing and communications team.

  • Collaborate with other departments for unified messaging.

Event Promotion
  • Plan and promote events to ensure high participation.

Qualifications & SkillsEducation
  • Bachelor’s in Marketing, Communications, PR, or related.

  • Master’s degree or certifications preferred.

Experience
  • 14+ years in marketing and communications.

  • 10+ years in leadership roles.

  • Preferably a former Director in a major communications agency or head of marketing in a large institution.

Technical Skills
  • Proficiency in digital tools (e.g., social media platforms, email systems, CMS like WordPress).

  • Strong analytical, strategic, and project management skills.

Communication & Interpersonal Skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.

  • Strong relationship-building and team leadership abilities.

Cultural & Faith Alignment
  • Deep understanding of HICC’s values.

  • Experience in faith-based settings is a plus.
