Are you interested in helping create a community of developers, builders, and creators on our FV campus? Look no further than Hack Club, a nonprofit that brings over hundreds of thousands of teen coders from around the globe to make and build projects together.
As a club, we hope to help bring to life the many project ideas that our student body has, but have not yet acquired the skills to make. We will explore a range of topics, including CAD, software development, hardware development, electrical engineering, game development, and more.
If this sounds like your jam, don't be afraid to apply for a position! The responsibilities of each role are not limited to what is listed below:
- Secretary (1): Fill out meeting minutes (meeting descriptions, member headcount, etc.); update member points spreadsheet after every meeting; update Linktree with any new information; meeting reminders through Discord/email every week
- Treasurer (1): Keep track of all financial decisions in an organized spreadsheet; plan and execute ideas for fundraisers; apt in helping members get their projects funded and shipped
- Activities (2): Help presidents develop workshops, lesson plans, and slides; plan socials and outside school events; keep track of all Hack Club events through the Slack; research and introduce new opportunities for members (internships, competitions, etc.)
- Outreach Directors (2): Create social media posts/videos to promote any fundraisers, events, projects, etc., create flyers to post around school, reach out to other clubs and organizations for collaborations, work on needed posters for any event
No prior experience is necessary - we're open to everyone no matter their skill level. After all, this is a place to learn!
