Join the diverse team to drive local youth actions for agri-food systems transformation!
The World Food Forum (WFF) Nepal is an official National Chapter of the global World Food Forum (WFF). Launched in 2023, our chapter is committed to fostering youth-driven actions in the agrifood systems transformation of Nepal. By collaborating with the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) and other youth organizations, we aim to bring positive changes to the food and agriculture sector, contributing to a sustainable and food-secure future.
The
WFF Nepal in partnership with
NYMAT Nepal invites passionate and motivated youth to join Local Youth Teams (LYTs). The main purpose of LYTs is:
- Build and strengthen local youth leadership and engagement in agrifood system transformation.
- Localization and implementation of WFF Nepal’s initiatives at municipal level.
- Strengthen collaboration and partnerships with local governments, communities and academic institutions.
- Lead community-based agrifood interventions, awareness, and advocacy activities.
- Document and share local knowledge, innovations, and stories of agrifood system transformation to the provincial and national platforms.
Local Youth Teams (LYTs) serve as a bridge between the Provincial Youth Teams (PYTs), local communities, and Palika governments, driving grassroots change in agrifood systems.

सन् २०२३ बाट नेपालमा सुरु गरिएको संस्था World Food Forum (WFF) Nepal नेपालको खाद्य-कृषि प्रणालीको रुपान्तरणमा युवाको नेतृत्व र सहभागितालाई प्रोत्साहन गर्न प्रतिबद्ध छ। संयुक्त राष्ट्रसंघको खाद्य तथा कृषि संगठन (FAO Nepal) र विभिन्न युवा संस्थाहरूसँग सहकार्य गर्दै, यस संस्थाले नेपालको खाद्य तथा कृषि क्षेत्रलाई दिगो र सुरक्षित भविष्यतर्फ अघि बढाउने लक्ष्य राखेका छ ।
यसै सन्धर्भमा WFF Nepal ले NYMAT Nepal सँगको साझेदारीमा, स्थानिय स्तरमा रहनु भएका युवाहरूको समूह गठनको लागि Local Youth Teams ( LYTs) को आवेदन खुलाएको छ। LYTs हरूले प्रादेशिक युवा समूह (PYTs), स्थानीय समुदाय, र पालिका संग सहकार्य र समन्वय गरी स्थानिय स्तरमा कृषि–खाद्य प्रणालीको रुपान्तरणमा महत्वपूर्ण भुमिका निर्वाहा गर्नेछन । LYT गठनको मुख्य उद्देश्यहरू यसप्रकार छन्:
- कृषि–खाद्य प्रणाली रुपान्तरणमा स्थानीय युवा नेतृत्व र सहभागिता विकास तथा सुदृढ गर्न।
- WFF Nepal का कार्य तथा अभियानहरु स्थानीय तह (पालिका स्तर) मा स्थानीयकरण र कार्यान्वयन गर्न।
- स्थानीय सरकार, समुदाय र शैक्षिक संस्थासँग सहकार्य र साझेदारी गर्न।
- समुदायमा आधारित खाद्य-कृषि गतिविधि, सचेतना र पैरवीक कार्यक्रमहरु नेतृत्व गर्न।
- स्थानीय ज्ञान, नवप्रवर्तन र सफलताका कथाहरू पहिचान तथा संकलन गरी प्रदेश र राष्ट्रिय स्तरसम्म पुर्याउनु।

आवेदन दिने अन्तिम मिति: हामी तपाईंलाई २०२५ अक्टोबर ३१ भित्र आवेदन दिन प्रोत्साहित गर्छौ। आवेदनहरु Rolling-basis मा छनोट गरिनेछन् भने सो मितिपछि आएका आवेदनहरू पनि विचार गरिनेछन्।
