SPLOST Election Day is March 18


Early voting is underway to renew the Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax (SPLOST) for Education. SPLOST is a 1-cent consumption sales tax that has been in place in Carroll County since 1998 to fund school capital projects and reduce debt. SPLOST cannot be used for teacher salaries and daily school operations but can fund facilities, safety resources, buses, technology, and other improvements. Currently, visitors to Carroll County contribute 30% of the revenue through their purchases. Below, you will find early and election day voting information:  


Early Voting: Monday–Friday, 8:30 a.m.–5 p.m.; Saturday, March 1 & March 8, 9 a.m.- 5 p.m. at 997 Newnan Rd, Carrollton (elections office)



Election Day: March 18, 7 a.m.–7 p.m. at your assigned precinct

The annual Young Georgia Authors (YGA) writing competition encourages students to develop their passion for writing, celebrate their successes and recognize student achievement in arts and academics. These winners have advanced to the regional competition in March.

Grand Slam Day: Behind the scenes with the Braves!

This week, CES third-grade classes took a field trip to Truist Park, home of the Atlanta Braves baseball team. Students learned about the organization's history and game-day production, explored the dugouts, and even walked on the field. It was an unforgettable experience for all!

CHS semifinalists selected for Governor's Honors

Upholding a strong legacy of GHP candidates from CHS, five students were selected as semifinalists and will move forward to the interview round this weekend at Georgia Southern University. If selected, students will attend the four-week residential program this summer.

Pre-K lottery starts Monday, March 3!

Ben Scott Sports Auction tickets on sale now!


Tickets are on sale for the 38th annual Ben Scott Sports Auction on March 21 at 5:30 p.m. Tickets cost $125 for two people, which includes food and drinks and entry into a cash raffle with a top prize of $10,000—and additional prizes of $1,000, $750, and $250. Proceeds support more than 900 Carrollton High School athletes across 26 sports, funding items such as jackets, plaques, championship rings, uniforms, travel meals, and more. Tickets are available from a coach, a booster club board member, or online HERE.
