I’ve seen several tweets comparing this to Nazis / The Holocaust and saying things like “this is how it begins”. I teach Holocaust Literature so let me be clear - this ISN’T how it began. This is already several stages along the way.

1. The line between robotic, unfeeling policy enforcement and atrocity is very thin.
2. Once they actually start killing people, it's too late. They're using Nazi tactics *now* and the time to stop them is *now.*

Deeply moved by the #HomeToVoteYes events unfolding. Videos from airports in Ireland of people who have flown back to go vote, others tweeting what their daughters and sons are doing.
One can only hope for tomorrow, and express support.
Pro-choice tweets are inspiring, hopeful or incredibly sad. I think one reason why is because an awful lot of the attempted baiting by the anti-choice side falls flat thanks to @repeal_shield. Future movements should take note.
