How to identify a kernel bug with touch pad

I submitted a kernel bug report on touch pad. Before the report is submitted, I went through a series of steps to produce the necessary information which are required by the reporting procedure. Finally, I success to submit a bug report with a reply which further requests the same procedure that I cannot remember where to retrieve from and to follow again. Can someone points me to that?
