Search on partial word

Looking at kernel bugs and I want to search for words conaining the string net, which I'd hoped would return words like ethernet/network etc, but partial word searches return nothing.

Am I using the searchbox wrong?

No, you're not doing anything wrong. Inexact searches were disabled to combat abuse. This functionality will come back, but I unfortunately don't have an ETA.

Hi,

You are not using the search box wrong. Launchpad bug search does not support substring searches, but it does sometimes match parts of words. For example, when I search for "net" on https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux I do see results that include "network". That said, if you're looking for a specific word it is better to search for that explicitly.
