About Ephraim

Words have been in my blood since grade school. Seriously. And over time, I have fought with them, hated them, loved them, wrestled with them, danced with them, found ecstasy in them. At one point, I completely abandoned them, though, thank goodness, they didn’t abandon me. They were comfort when I couldn’t find it anywhere else. They have been my spark in the darkness, my lifeline. The way I remember when I forget. I write to empty. I write to forget. I write to remember. To surprise myself later. I write for love and pain. I write because I am compelled to, because when the words come, if I allow them to flow out of me, they are so much more beautiful.

My deep desire is for every poem to be rich with all the meanings that emerge in you, and then to embrace them all. Even in paradox.
