    The main character, Sarah, and her friend Barnabas find themselves in a new world full of magic, new friends, and danger. They must find a missing key in Mistronia to save the kingdom and find their way back home. Along the way, they meet new friends with unique gifts to aid them on their quest. The story is full of adventure and friendship.

    This is such a great book! Matt Meyer's does such a great job describing the characters and the story. I continued thinking about the story long after I stopped reading the story. The book is well-written and moves along very fast. The language is clean, and there are no graphic scenes, making it a perfect story for young readers. I highly recommend this book. I hope there will be more books to follow.

    Such a delightful story of fantasy and yet reality! I loved how the characters strengthen personally and in relationship to one another. The theme of learning to trust and being willing to trust was especially meaningful for me. Loved this book! Ready for the next in the series!
