    It's very effective when you have cool surroundings. If you have a hot surrounding it won't do a lot (max 3 to 5 degrees) with a cool surrounding it cooled as far as 10 degrees which is a lot and especially if you are gaming this will be helpful, why you ask? Before using this cooler I would get 24 to 30 frames per second at the lowest settings in a game but while using this cooler my GPU and CPU would never thermal throttle allowing me to play at high 60fps.
    Summary: If you are a gamer and your laptop thermal throttles buy this but make sure you have a cool surrounding,
    As for normal day to day use and business/ultrabooks, this is average.

    Fake Chinese rip of from Star I I know this because I bought the original one from havoc(Star I) and wanted to buy another one for my house. The box is not the same as in the picture, there is not brand at all either on the box or the pad itself only words are ice coorel, they even misspelled cooler. item came used, some pieces in the back broken and poor poor quality. Really wish amazon.ae would check the quality or boxes to make sure item is as described because it is most certainly not.
