David Seidl is the Vice President for Information Technology and CIO at Miami University of Ohio where he has broad responsibility for IT across Miami's multiple campuses and location, and leads IT Services, the university's award winning central IT organization.

During his 20+ year IT career, he has served in a variety of technical and information security roles including serving as the Senior Director for Campus Technology Services at the University of Notre Dame where he co-led Notre Dame's move to the cloud and was responsible for cloud operations, ERP, databases, identity management, and a broad range of other technologies and services. He also served as Notre Dame's Director of Information Security and led Notre Dame's information security program. While at Notre Dame he taught a popular course on networking and security for Notre Dame's Mendoza College of Business, and has written, co-authored, or contributed to 17 books on topics including security certification and cyberwarfare, including multiple top 50 books on cybersecurity certification.

David holds a bachelor's degree in Communication Technology and a masters degree in Information Security from Eastern Michigan University, as well as CISSP, GPEN, GCIH, CSA+ , and Pentest+ certifications.

Mike Chapple is Teaching Professor of IT, Analytics, and Operations at the University of Notre Dame's Mendoza College of Business where he teaches graduate and undergraduate courses in cybersecurity and business analytics.

Prior to joining Notre Dame’s faculty, Mike served as Senior Director for IT Service Delivery at the University. In this role, he oversaw the information security, IT compliance, cloud computing, data governance, IT architecture, learning platforms, project management, strategic planning and product management functions for the Office of Information Technologies. Mike led Notre Dame’s Cloud First strategy which moved 80% of the institution’s IT services into the cloud over three years.

Mike previously served as Senior Advisor to the Executive Vice President at Notre Dame for two years. Prior to that, he was program manager of the University’s Information Security Program and a consultant to the Notre Dame Alumni Association on alumni engagement initiatives. Before returning to Notre Dame, Mike served as Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer of the Brand Institute, a Miami-based marketing consultancy. Mike also spent four years in the information security research group at the National Security Agency and serving as an active duty intelligence officer in the U.S. Air Force. He is a technical editor for Information Security Magazine and has written 25 books, including Cyberwarfare: Information Operations in a Connected World, Information Security Illuminated, and the CISSP Study Guide.

Mike is an active member of the higher education IT community. He was selected as a 2014 Fellow of the Leading Change Institute. He is an active participant in the Common Solutions Group and served as chair of the CSG Cloud Strategy Working Group which produced the Cloud Strategy for Higher Education. Mike is also active in EDUCAUSE, serving as the chair of the EDUCAUSE Recognition Committee, Co-Chair of the EDUCAUSE Center for Applied Research Cloud Working Group, and a member of the EDUCAUSE Governance, Risk and Compliance Advisory Board.

Mike earned both his BS and Ph.D. degrees from Notre Dame in computer science & engineering. He also holds an MS in computer science from the University of Idaho and an MBA from Auburn University.

After a 22 year Navy career working with computers and electronics, Darril Gibson set a goal for himself. He decided he wanted to become a full time author and write books that help others. Since then, he has authored, coauthored, or contributed to more than 40 books. One of his true joys in life is receiving emails from readers letting him know about their successes after using one of his books.

Over the years, Darril has earned multiple certifications including: CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, CASP, and CTT+; (ISC)2 SSCP and CISSP; Microsoft MCT, MCSA, MCSE, MCITP, MCTS, MCDST, MCAD, MCSD, and MCDST.

Darril has written books on CompTIA A+, Network+, and Security+ core certifications, ISC(2) SSCP and CISSP security certifications, and multiple Microsoft certifications. He has also written two books on success including "You Can Do Anything: Three Simple Steps to Success for Graduates" and "7 Life Lessons: Powerful Principles for Living a Fulfilled Life."
