I never imagined I would become an author. I simply had a burning desire to help people discover who they truly are, live with purpose, and shine their light boldly in the world. My name is Dr. Somtochukwu (Somto) Igboanugo. I’m a medical doctor, youth leader, certified life coach, entrepreneur, TEDx speaker, and most importantly, a believer in the power of purpose and identity.

I live in the United Kingdom, where I serve as a Primary Care Consultant. Alongside my medical career, I lead a thriving youth movement passionate about raising Christ-centred influencers. I also host Ignite Conference—an annual gathering that brings hundreds of young people together around purpose, leadership, and impact. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of leading a faith-based youth group that has grown remarkably into a strong and vibrant community. Together, we’ve built a space where young people are equipped to lead, serve, and make a difference.

My writing journey began as a quiet whisper in my heart—a nudge to put into words the lessons, truths, and convictions that have shaped my life. Over the years, I’ve met so many young people with dreams burning inside them but no language to express who they are or how much they matter. Many struggled not because they lacked ability, but because they didn’t know their identity. I decided to write to give language to the hidden potential in people.

Every page of my books is more than just words. It’s a voice. A light. A seed. My first book, I Shine: Discover How to Impact Your World God’s Way, was written to remind readers that they are not random—they are designed on purpose for a purpose. My second book, No Filter: Discover Who You Really Are Beyond the Noise, was born out of a deep burden to help this generation peel away false labels and step boldly into their true identity.

I believe strongly that one light can spark a thousand others. And when people find their light, they begin to influence their homes, workplaces, cities, and nations. That belief drives everything I do—not just as an author but also as a mentor, speaker, and youth leader.

Beyond writing, I’m also the founder of MASIN Fashion, a faith-based clothing brand that merges style with values. MASIN stands for Made As Salt to Impact Nations. It’s more than a brand—it’s a movement that inspires people to wear their faith with confidence and be bold about what they believe in. I love seeing people light up when they wear a message that speaks to who they are.

At the heart of it all, my greatest joy is seeing lives transformed. I don’t just write to impress; I write to impact. My mission is simple but clear: to help people shine God’s light in every sphere of life.

I write in a way that is honest, clear, and deeply personal because I know how powerful one word of truth can be in the right moment. I’ve seen young people who once doubted themselves rise to become leaders. I’ve watched families heal. I’ve seen hope return to hearts that once felt invisible. That’s why I keep writing.

My journey hasn’t been without its own challenges. I’ve walked through seasons of doubt, pressure, and stretching. But each challenge has refined my vision and deepened my conviction that no life is ordinary and no story is wasted. God can use every season—both bright and broken—to shape a life that shines.
