I got a message says, “This content requires Adobe Reader, which is not supported by your device. This content can be viewed on a desktop computer or on mobile devices that support Adobe Reader.” appears on my iPhone 3GS for the Safari browser when i not tried to download the Adobe Reader app for the iPhone OS version 3.
Any ideas? Or the operating system may have not been supported?

Adobe Systems has just recently announced that the company will stops supporting Adobe Reader for Windows Server, its final major update to this software was released in 2014.
Adobe CEO and Chairman, Shantanu Narayen, said that Adobe Reader software will no longer supports Windows Server anymore and its major update to Adobe Reader was no longer release anymore and now focused on its other platforms such as iOS and Android.

No. You cannot make permanent changes to PDF files using Adobe Reader; however you can perform many edit-like functions using Adobe Reader if the author has enabled these functions using Acrobat 7.0 Professional. You have the possibility to download version 11 and DC through the official website (see link below). For additional downloads regarding previous versions, another website has to be visited.

Although uninstalling Adobe Reader and rebooting it help at the first instance, but then there are times, when this do not work.
Click on any other icon on desktop, other than Adobe Reader, which is present. Right click "open with" and select the correct programm to open it with. Select it and always use this as default for this kind. Apply & Run. Voila, all done.
In case this hampers anything, you can switch to the restore point of an earlier time. The latest is always disabled to be used by the system. Restart and done.
If none, then uninstall the app, restart, change as per point 1, and restart. If you require reader, install it but with advanced modes on & change, as not default.

You have to just Drag the Picture and Paste it where-ever you want it in the PDF file....
