Research & Project Areas

The Southeast ADA Center (SE ADA) conducts scientifically rigorous yet practically relevant research, producing studies that have influenced public policy and positively advance the daily lives of people with disabilities. The SE ADA engages in multi-method empirical research by blending qualitative, quantitative, and archival methods of data collection and analysis using evidence-based measures from multiple disciplines.

Our research activities engage the Participatory Action Research (PAR) model to engage stakeholders in partnership with researchers to work as teams to create scientifically based, relevant knowledge. This model ensures that knowledge translation becomes a continuous process, ensuring that research is used in practical and meaningful ways to create change and impact.
