How to register for access to certain abtmtr.link services.

There are two accounts that would be considered "abtmtr.link" accounts - a whoami.abtmtr.link OIDC account, and an @abtmtr.link email account.

Types of accounts

abtmtr.link provides two services under ""one"" account. The services have different authentication methods, but they use the same credentials.

  • next.abtmtr.link "abtmtr.link account"
    abtmtr.link provides a Nextcloud server. You get 25 GB of storage for free, as well as "unlimited"* calendar storage and "unlimited"* contacts storage. There's also a tasklist and an MP3 player built in that supports the Ampache and Subsonic protocols for syncplay.
    It's also the main authentication provider, so credentials from your Nextcloud account are used everywhere else.
  • mail.abtmtr.link "@abtmtr.link email"
    abtmtr.link provides a freemail service. It's hosted primarily so MeowcaTheoRange has email for the services on the site, as well as a "professional" email for themselves.
    You get a free "@abtmtr.link" email address, and "unlimited"* email storage.

    • *No limit theoretically, but if there's storage issues in abtmtr.link, an announcement will be made asking everyone to clear some space.

    Registering for an abtmtr.link account

    To start, send an email to [email protected] like so:

    Subject: [ABTMTR.LINK ACCOUNT] Register

    Create [Lowercase username - a-z, 0-9, dots, hyphens, and underscores allowed]@abtmtr.link.

    The name after "Create" will become your username for your abtmtr.link account AND email address for your @abtmtr.link email.

    The address you've sent the email from will become your recovery email, for password resets. We will not advertise to you through your email, we promise!

    Your @abtmtr.link email will be made when you log in to mail.abtmtr.link, so if you don't want an @abtmtr.link email, don't log in.

    Setting up for mail.abtmtr.link

    Set up your email client with the following settings:

    Authentication (for both)

    Outgoing server (SMTP)

    Incoming server

    Deleting your mail.abtmtr.link account data

    You can delete your account from next.abtmtr.link, but that won't get rid of your data at mail.abtmtr.link. To get that done, follow these instructions:

    Send an email to [email protected] from your @abtmtr.link address:
    (If your account is already gone, send an email from any address.)

    Subject: [ABTMTR.LINK EMAIL] Deletion

    Delete [email]@abtmtr.link.
