Working as part of a small, agile software team to help make borrowing better than buying.

• Helping build a GraphQL API using Apollo and Node.js.
• Building new features into the admin interface using React.

Giki

Software Engineer | March 2019–February 2023

Giki is your free personal guide to calculate, track and reduce your environmental impact.

• Built a RESTful API using Ruby on Rails with unit and integration tests using Rspec, and deployed this using AWS EC2, Application Load Balancers and Ansible.
• Implemented UI components in React, using JavaScript and TypeScript, tested using Jest.

ARTimbarc

Software Engineer | January 2018–March 2019

ARTimbarc aimed to collaborate with galleries and museums to provide richer digital experiences for visitors, and to build communities around cultural institutions.

• Built a Progressive Web App audioguide and administrative CMS using VueJS and deployed these using AWS S3 and Cloudfront.
• Built a RESTful API using Django and the Django Rest Framework, and deployed this using Docker and AWS Elastic Beanstalk.

Kano Computing

Software Engineer | June 2016–January 2018

Kano aims to give anyone a simple, fun way to make and play with technology, and take control of the world around them.

• Rebuilt the front-end of the company’s e-commerce site in VueJS and deployed this using AWS S3 and Cloudfront.
• Contributed to the development of the community site and coding platform, built using ExpressJS, MongoDB and Polymer web components.
• Contributed to the development of a desktop app using Electron and Polymer web components.

• Implemented new designs as a new Drupal template for the company's marketing site.
• Built out small marketing sites using React JS.
