    This was sooooo good, more people need to read this!! I won a copy on a goodreads giveaway not knowing what it was and WOW what a hidden gem I found. I feel like I know these characters so well! This relationship feels so real (if you’ve been in a wild dramatic relationship you’ll probably understand this relationship well). I SO was not expecting to get a tiny little mystery subplot in there! Such a well done story, can’t wait for book 2!!!

    Butterflies... that fluttery feeling inside when you know you've found the one!
    They may appear when that person looks at you, is near you, touches you, kisses you. In your lifetime, there could more than one person who gives you that feeling, especially if you've lost a love before. The ones who don't give it to you just don't compare to that feeling of the person who gives you Butterflies.

    For introvert college senior Tessa Givens, she once had her butterflies and tragically lost them, until Jaxon Smith the local campus rockstar appears on stage and stirs something within her! He's also her neighbors bestfriend! Jaxon also feels drawn to Tessa!! Only one problem! Jaxon has been in a rocky long term relationship with Brooke!

    My Butterflies dives into conflicting feelings, responsibilities and regrets that young adults are just learning to navigate through. This book is full of emotions and character building and glimpses into each back story, but it was really well done to give an all around well thought out read. Their friends were also great additions to the story, even Brooke (who is hard to like) was well done!

    This is book 1 in the series so here's a warning: this does not end on a HEA. And reading this now and waiting for book 2 is going to be hard.. but I cant wait to get it and see how this ends!.

    If you are a fan of College, Friends to Lovers, Sports Romance, Rockstar Romance, Dual POV, Forbidden Love.. this is for you!

    I originally received this as an ALC audiobook from the author and NetGalley but also read along with the story and enjoyed this immersive experience! This is told through a Dual POV from Tessa and Jaxon and both narrators did an amazing job! I kept thinking I recognize Tessa's voice and couldn't immediately place it, I was so absorbed in the book.. Well several chapters in.. it dawned on me I've been following Laura Horowitz on IG for a while and listen to her Reels LOL.. I'm definitely going to look at more books from both her and Gregory Salinas!

    Complete personal opinion does not take away from the story at all... the only thing that could've made it better for me is if it was done in Duet! Something about the 2 different voices interacting makes it so much better for me and I think Laura and Gregory would've sounded great together!

    I am so angry that I read this book and it was a great book and I could see where it was going, no where does it say "part 1". Are you kidding me? I never start a duet unless the second book is out too. I really liked the book, hated Brook. But the cliff hanger ruined this for me. I hope the next one is out soon or I probably won't read the conclusion.

    An incredibly emotional read! While I would not necessarily call it a true cliffhanger, it does end on a bittersweet note and I am definitely diving into book 2 right away. I say emotional because it does pull at heartstrings, but not in an angsty way. Tessa and Jax meet and instantly feel a pull towards each other. Although they are not free to pursue each other, they bond as friends. Truly "star-crossed", I would say. there are several details and background storylines that give this romance a hint of suspense. I would say amount of spice is about 2.5 and the level of spice is 2.75. there's not too much mentioned (its not the whole book) and even then, it's not overly graphic. You definitely know what's happening, but it's not filled with over the top imagery. Overall, I really enjoyed the read. Off to book 2!

    This book was such an emotional rollercoaster but I loved every second of it. Gregory and Laura did such a fantastic job as Jaxon and Tessa. Not only do their voices pair so fantastically together but the emotions they bring really bring out the depth of the story and scene. The audiobook is done in dual style and the book is in dual POV. Gregory & Laura seamlessly take on each of the characters of their chapters and really made this story come to life. I was hooked from the first chapter.

    This book follows Tessa and Jaxon. Tessa who had recently transferred to a new school to finish our her senior year when she runs into her neighbor and his cute best friend Jaxon. Their connection and their shared similar experiences make it such an interesting dynamic between them. Plus, give the fact they both obviously like each other but are in their own respective relationships.

    This book had everything I could have wanted and more.

    - Singing/Rockstar MMC
    - lovable FMC
    - heartbreak
    - shared Trauma

    After the ending i'm so ready and looking forward to the next book. I can't wait to see what happens!

    Omg this book was absolutely brilliant I am so lucky to have the chance to read this but also so annoyed that I read it early as I cannot believe the ending and now need to wait for book 2. What the hell is this author b.evans trying to do to me? Because I was in a state of shock at the end of this book and my heart!! Omg.

    I cannot believe how good this book was it was funny,sad,happy,scary,joyful and spicy I had every single emotion under the sun whilst reading this book and to say it left me wanting more is an understatement.
    The characters are amazing and I love all of them not just the main characters. 100% don’t like Brooke though and no one can change my mind on that but What is it with men being called Jax? Seriously just having that name makes them sexy let alone the actions and words that come out of their mouth 😍

    The whole storyline was intense and shocking and just *chefs kiss* I couldn’t put this book down and I’m very glad I didn’t!! Feel like I’m going to have a book hangover because of this book I just sat jaw hitting the floor at the ending 🤣
