About the authors

Thea Masen is a neurospicy author who writes stories about magic, monsters, alphas, and aliens. She spends her days hiding her computer screen from her teenagers and her nights reading tantalizing snippets to her husband. If she's not hyperfocused on a story, she's... nope. That's about all she does. Read, write, and keep children alive. It might not be the most glamorous life, but it's one she loves.
If you want sweet and spicy love stories, with a touch of the magical and imagined, you’ve come to the right place.

Savannah James is an author that is dedicated to writing the stories she loves while sprinkling in some much needed representation for type one diabetics such as herself. She primarily writes romance, but she also dabbles in poetry and horror. When she’s not writing, she can be found reading, journaling, playing Minecraft, watching movies, jamming to Taylor Swift, and spending time with her family and puppies.

Mary Elizabeth Graves is an indie author, essayist, and monster smut enthusiast. She lives in Alabama with her cat Charlie and a ghost who still hasn’t let her know what its name is. Along with writing her own monster romances, she also researches the ethics and politics of spicy books. You can check out more of her writing on her substack, including her on-going monster smut short story series, Date Night With A Monster, where headboards go bump in the night.

- Reviewed in the United States on May 12, 2025Format: KindleVerified PurchaseMy favorite thing about anthologies is that I get the opportunity to be introduced to many different authors & Giving It to Charity Was No Different - and this one with a very interesting story! I was only familiar with a few of the authors but found many more to explore There was only one story I didn't read but overall skipping that story didn't confuse me nor did I feel like it took away from the book. I skipped it because after I began it, I realized it wasn't my thing. I love that proceeds go to funding libraries, and I hope that we never find ourselves in the type of society that Charity found herself a part of - though I am down to being about to enter and live my books. This is a definite recommend. I gave it a four on the spice - hot, hot, hot!
- Reviewed in the United States on April 10, 2025Format: KindleThis anthology was a spicy quick read, but held true to the idea that are here to take us out of our comfort zones. I liked that it was told in a way that Charity got sorta sucked into the world she was reading. Having so many different authors contribute to this book was a fun way to be introduced to different writing styles and new authors too! Charity learns a lot about herself and her own strength through her adventures in the contraband books she encounters and it makes her a better person all around. Truly that's the beauty of books, they broaden our horizons from our couches, beds, living rooms, the train, or wherever we find time to read and that's what this book is talking about.
"When we limit access to stories, we limit connection."
I was lucky enough to get this book as an ARC and this is my honest opinion. Thank you!
- Reviewed in the United States on May 14, 2025Format: KindleVerified PurchaseI don’t usually read anthologies, but quite a few authors I enjoy participated in this project and it’s for a good cause. Keep in mind, Charity is given A LOT in these stories, but there is a message in it all that ties everything together well. With spicy romance coming under fire in recent days, this is an excellent portrayal of self discovery through reading. Reading can feed so much to a person’s mind and be a way to escape the present for a bit or even work through internal conflict. I enjoyed that each author’s writing style was also not so different from one to the next, so Charity’s overall story flowed well. I’ve also learned that anthologies are a great way to find new authors to explore.
- Reviewed in the United States on April 11, 2025Format: KindleVerified PurchaseI enjoyed every single story within in this anthology!
Each story was deliciously spicy and provided our FMC with an important lesson to help her in real life. I loved the timeliness of this collection of stories as Charity's life is one that may, unfortunately, become a reality. Each story is a great reminder of the importance of books and the positive outcomes of sharing ideas through narratives.
- Reviewed in the United States on April 12, 2025Format: KindleVerified PurchaseFirst: the proceeds of this book are going to the ALA to fight against censorship!!
Now… I loved that even though this is an anthology, it follows a singular story about Charity who is battling with herself to understand her self worth… and these erotic stories help her discover herself. Powerful stuff. Loved it.
- Reviewed in the United States on May 13, 2025Format: KindleThis was such an amazing anthology!! It's not like others where there are bunch of short stories smashed together. This had short stories from different authors, but with an overarching plot. I loved it!!
Charity is gifted books, and those books are magical and transport Charity into their worlds. I would love to read more anthology like these.
- Reviewed in the United States on May 8, 2025Format: KindleVerified PurchaseA great read with various authors ' takes on some spicy monster romances. Plus it's great that this book allows us to

- Reviewed in the United States on April 10, 2025Format: KindleWhat's better than one Author that writes Monster smut?
... Oh I dunno maybe multiple Authors that write Monster smut coming together for an awesome cause!
This book was absolutely incredible!
It follows the FMC, Charity as she navigates this world where woman are meant to be seen and not heard. Where anything outside of the deemed
"norm" is taboo and the devil's work. She is given the opportunity to take back some control and push the limits with these contraband books... what she didn't expect is the unique and absolutely unhinged experiences that comes with these books!
Not only does she find herself being educated on different types of monsters and their many talents she also finds herself learning her own wants and needs.
She learns what she deserves and not settle for anything less.
This book is just as much about a woman taking back her I power as it is about all these delicious monsters!
These Authors did an INCREDIBLE job with this story!
If you enjoy when the FMC takes back her power and learns how much of a baddie she is, or if you love ALL the Monsters and their many talents they can do with their split tongues, shadows, and tails, then this book is a MUST READ!
