“I find the people here demanding, irrational and far too chatty in supermarkets.” Like Martin Clunes’s Doc Martin – upon which this US comedy is based – Martin Best just wants to be left alone. He’s good at his job, but his bedside manner leaves plenty to be desired. However, his hopes of a quiet life in a small fishing village in Maine are set to be repeatedly dashed.
