Corrections and clarifications

RAF Lakenheath | Ely | Peeking/peaking homophone

The largest US air force base in Europe is not RAF Lakenheath in Suffolk, but Ramstein in Germany (Life next door to a US air force base, 18 May, p16). However, Lakenheath is home to the largest number of USAF combat-ready aircraft in Europe. Also, Ely is a cathedral city, not a town.

Homophone corner: “The birds … can be seen perching on rooftops and fences, or peaking out from trees” (Peacocks divide opinion in Italian seaside town, 16 May, p34).
