Genius crossword No 273

This article is more than 3 months old

Theme: _______________

Wordplay in most across clues omits a letter from the entry. Each omission is also an extra letter generated by wordplay in a paired down clue. All such clues are paired in the same way.

In order, the across clues’ omissions form a hint to the theme, which is two words (hyphenated) and must be written below the grid. Three thematic grid entries are unclued.

Deadline for entries is 23:59 BST on Saturday 4 April. You need to register once and then sign in to theguardian.com to enter our online competition for a £100 monthly prize.

  • The form for entries was amended on 2 March 2026 at 11.30am to include the three unclued entries; all correct entries before and after are eligible.
