We are the Sons of Town Hall, known from left to right as you see us on stage as George "Ulysses" Brown and Josiah "Chester" Jones. We write songs. We sing. We play guitars. We dance. We tell stories. We travel the world upon a boat we built with our bare hands. We wear threadbare Victorian clothing, a bowler and top hat respectively. But when we remove those hats, when we take off the costumes, we are Ben Parker (UK) and David Berkeley (US). And that is exactly what we intend to do here: We will remove our hats, both literally and metaphorically, granting you an all access pass backstage, onto our raft, and into our hearts. How did we come up with our concept? How do we write our songs? What's that on the horizon line? We will, of course, keep our hats on as well, singing and talking to you in character. But we will also invite you into our process, something we don't share with anyone else. You will hear unreleased material. You will get to listen to early demos. We will talk. We will cry. We will comfort each other. Why, you may wonder? Well, we are working on a very big project--releasing a new album and an episodic comedy-fiction podcast, which will tells some of our many adventures from our long history together around the world. The episodes each run about 30 minutes in length and are performed in the style of radio theater of old, hosted by our longtime archivist, Elias B. Worthington (played by British actor Oliver Maltman). The series features a lush sound track and sound effects, and most importantly, they reveal the songs on the new album one by one. We raised initial funds via Kickstarter, which has sustained us thus far, but we are now seeking some ongoing support. Moreover, we are seeking friends, or rather a family, who will join us on our journey and for whom we will provide perks and privileges, b-sides and b-roll, confessions and comraderie along the way. We have been very fortunate to have each other on this most unusual voyage, but we are now ready to share more than just our finished work with those of you kind and generous enough to want to support us. We are grateful if you have a few extra coins a month to kick into our coffers. We promise to return your generosity. Our arms our open. Our hands outstretched. Will you come aboard?
