While attending Rocketfocks' sona design stream on Twitch, he stated that I should add something to Lucas to better show his short temper. After months this is what I came up with: Whenever Lucas gets really heated his feathers turn red and are hot to the touch. THey don't turn back to violet until he calms down.
If you're asking why Lucas' ventral feathers are brown-ish it's because when Lucas joined The Bizarre Nest group and get hired by Canine Construction he was still a juvenile. Juvenile Blue-jays had brown-ish feathers on their ventral side of their wings in real life so I decided to copy that for Lucas.
P.S. This is my first artwork in a new style I'm trying out: Sketching the outline and shapes on paper (as I have more control on that medium), scaning that to my computer, and adding the colors digitally. Just let me know if you prefer it to my old style or not.
