‘Uhn,… let go of me you rock-brained mud ball!!!’
“So as if the villains and the natural perils,… mostly quicksand,… on the island weren’t bad enough, there are things that kind of fall halfway between them. They are known as ‘Muck Beasts’ and there are few different kinds, they are creatures of living mud, quicksand and muck, not unlike Smuther, but they are more animal-like in mind and nature.
This big guy here is one of the ‘Mud Gators’, the name says it all, big alligator-like creatures made of living mud. They lurk in the swampy regions of the island just north of the Central Basin, laying dormant amidst the mud flats and bogs, appearing like the normal mud all around them, until they feel something disturb the swamp, then they swim quickly to the source and form up right underneath it, trying to catch it in their muddy jaws and swallow it down, just like this one is trying to do to me, so you have to stay alert in the swamps, subtle ripples in the mud being the only warning you might get.
They are tough beasts to fight off, but thankfully, being made of mud, their ‘teeth’ and ‘claws’ are not hard or sharp, just all goopy,… but being all soft and goopy makes it hard to hurt them. Like Smuther, if you lead them away from a source of moisture they will dry out and crumble, but unlike Smuther they have a natural instinct to avoid that, they know to stay safely in their mud bogs, so if you can get away from them, they won’t follow you out of the swamps. Of course,… getting out of their jaws once they surprise you, and getting away, can easier said than done,… The best way to deal with these things is to stay out of their territory, which I try my best to do.
I’m not sure how many of these things there are, I’ve never seen more than one or two at a time. I think they are very territorial, each one kind of claiming a portion of the swamp, that the others stay out of, which spreads them out. So you can easily go through the swamps without having to deal with any,… but the moment you forget to keep an eye out for them, one shows up right under you.
But for now,… Uhn,.. give me a few minutes to deal with this guy.”From the incredible
Toughset comes the latest troublesome peril for Ember, the fearsome Mud Gator,… as if normal quicksand wasn’t bad enough, now the stuff is getting aggressive. ;).
I love how fierce this picture is, you get such a great sense of tension, movement and action, from Ember’s long hair swaying to the side, to the mud splash as the gator forms up from the swamp below. Toughset did amazing work with the design of the Mud Gator, the sleekness of its body, all the little mucky details, like the ridges on its back, and the teeth, it certainly gives a feeling of strength from its size and bulk, yet you also get a sense that this beast could easily lurk unseen in a mud puddle, until it decides to form up right below its unsuspecting target. Ember certainly does not look happy to find herself in the mouth of this beast, her expression, a mix of anger and surprise, really speaks volumes, as does her defiantly trying to push those jaws open, while the positioning of her thigh gives the feeling of her squirming, as her legs are sinking down into the gullet of this mucky beast. Truly an amazing action shot, to introduce and truly impressive looking foe for Ember and the denizens of Nightshade Island.
What do you think? :D.

Yeah, no offense, but every time you comment you mention your OC and how they could help and solve the problem easily, I'm sorry, but it is getting weird.
it will surely drag her under in a second
However, given the sharp blades Ember has in her possession, flesh-eating plants are far easier to escape from than pits of sinking mud or quicksand.
Also, totally no vore bias from me. *I say as I give this a Emerald award on DA.*
Hehe, no, of course no bias. ;). *Ooohs at the shiny emerald* (Thank you very much for that :). )
Indeed ;). (No worries man :).)
(Much appreciated :).)
