What are your thoughts on the predator-prey dynamics in my universe? I drew inspiration largely from Zootopia, particularly the concept of "ten prey for every one predator." I want to incorporate social commentary into this as well. Just so you know, only anthropomorphic mammals—excluding primates, oceanic mammals, and egg-laying mammals—are sentient in my universe. Fish, birds, reptiles, and insects are not sentient and serve as food for predators. I’d love to hear your recommendations, ideas, and constructive criticism.

Sentient is a term misused by the writers of Star Trek TNG so frequently that most people still misuse it today.
This is simply an expansion of one’s vocabulary.
