A mural depicting two hands forming a heart shape against a textured brick wall. Below the hands, there is a small red heart drawn. The artwork uses a monochromatic style for the hands, contrasting with the colorful brick background.

Valentines latergram. This mural spot has been repainted since we were here over Thanksgiving.

Auto Hide Obsidian Sidebars The minimalist mindset has you remove all distractions from your environment so you can stay focused on the task at hand. I use headphones to block out the kids in the house when I'm working, and endeavour to stick with the tools I have instead of trying to find something new.

Into this mindset comes the Auto Hide plugin for Obsidian. I love this type of tool, it does one thing a

My theory is that #Greenland is all about building a massive US Controlled data center.

  • Nice and cold so cooling it wouldn't be an issue.
  • Located in a sweet spot between North America and Europe. There's already Greenland Connect right off the coast.
  • They're already building one under the new White House ballroom so why not?

Slurp Fixed Saving Web Articles to Obsidian In my recent Obsidian setup video I talked about how the ReadItLater and Obsidian Web Clipper were not working for me. I had to run through saving a web page twice to get the content I wanted.

A day after that video I was annoyed and searched "Read Later" in the community plugin manager and then found Slurp. With my first test it solved

The internet is now rife with what I call "zettelkasten method one pagers" that describe what many people rightly (or very often wrongly) think that Niklas Luhmann's zettelkasten method entails. While doing some research about Luhmann's numbering system's antecedents, I recently came across a "one pager" (typescript) written by Luhmann himself in the form of some lecture notes from 1968 that folks may appreciate. Luhmann, Niklas. 1968-01-13. “Ms. 2906: Technik des Zettelkastens.” […]

Microsoft Office has been replaced by "Microsoft 365 Copilot App" 🙄 (not a joke, see office.com)

Fortunately there are many good alternatives on the Fediverse:

➡️ @libreoffice - Free open source office suite, can be used entirely offline
➡️ @CollaboraOffice - Online fork of LibreOffice, upstream contributor
➡️ @nextcloud - FOSS personal cloud including collaborative office tools
➡️ @CryptPad - FOSS online office suite with maximum privacy
