FAQ TATTOOING:

“How much do you charge for tattoos?” I charge $150/hr (+ tax) for customs. Flash pieces are priced individually.

“Can I get a price for this tattoo?” This is hard for any tattoo artist, because we cannot determine how long a tattoo will take before it is being done. I can try my best to give you a rough estimate.

β€œCan I see my design before my appointment?” Sorry, no. I will show you the design the day of the appointment and we can make any revisions then. Rest assured I will do everything to make your tattoo perfect for you! Not showing the design beforehand saves me from:

1. Art theft or taking the design to β€œsomeone who will do it cheaper”.

2. Never ending changes with the risk of you still cancelling and getting your deposit back. Of course we can make any change you need at the appointment, but if I spend hours making changes and you cancel within 24 hours and get your deposit back, I lose hours of my hard work.

3. I also feel rushed if I have to show the design before hand and I don’t feel comfortable with that. I’m passionate about tattooing and I like to take my time with each design.

“Can I send you a DM through Instagram, Facebook, Snapchat, text, etc…?” Please no. I like to keep things professional and all in one place so I can keep track of all of you who are messaging me. If you would like to book, please email me ONLY.

“Do I have to send a deposit?” Yes, this is a requirement for myself and Modify as a shop. This comes off the final cost of the tattoo and it secures your spot. If you do not send one or get back to my emails, your form submission will be deleted and the spot you chose will be available to someone else. The deposit protects me from any ‘no-shows’. If you need to reschedule for any reason, please give 24 hours notice. Failure to do so will result in a forfeit of your deposit. If you have any questions or concerns feel free to reach out. I understand emergencies happen though, so I’m flexible in that regard. Deposits are only transferable once.

“Can I get a deal on this?” If you have to ask, probably not. I am willing to work with people on most occasions if we vibe really well and you are respectful of me and my work and my time.

Respectfully, if you are shopping around for deals/trying to get a lot of work done for cheap, I am not the artist for you.

β€œIf I’m late, why won’t you tattoo me?” I wait 20 minutes max from the start of your appointment time for you to get to the shop. If you don’t reach out to me to tell me you’re going late, I move on. If you are going to be more than 30 minutes late, please reschedule. There are NO exceptions.

“Will you tattoo me at my house?” Absolutely not.

FAQ FINE ART:

“Are you taking fine art commissions?” Yes! You can go through my contact form on my website, or email for submissions or if you have any questions.

“What can I expect for pricing for my commission request?”Rates: $50/hr + materials. Prices are subject to change, and will vary upon request.

“Can I get an estimate of price?” This is hard to predict for each piece, but past commission times (at $50/hr) have been recorded at:

Animal portrait, B&W, ballpoint pen on 8.5 x 11 paper: approx. 8-12 hours. (WILL VARY)

Animal portrait, B&W, charcoal on 22 x 30 paper: approx 6-10 hours. (WILL VARY)

“Why do you request a non-refundable deposit?”I require a $50 dollar non-refundable deposit (varying upon request) for the time spent planning, preliminary work, materials, etc. I require this to protect myself and my time. The deposit will be added to the total cost at the end of the service.

“We are friends, can you do this for free?”Sorry, no. I am a professional artist who deserves to be paid for my services.
