Events Details block

Automatically pull your event information directly into a template

The event Details block in Hive’s template editor makes it fast and easy to pull in event details directly from your integrated ticketing platform or imported event data.

Instead of typing out event names, venues, dates, or links manually, you can simply drag-and-drop the block into your template and let Hive do the work. This saves time and ensures that your event information stays accurate.

Need to update an event’s name, date, time, or ticketing link? You can make changes directly in your template (use the right-hand sidebar after selecting your event) or in your Event Hub.


Add an event block

  1. Drag and drop the Events Details block into the template editor.

  2. Select the events you’d like to include.

  3. Customize fonts, colours, and styles to match your brand.

Note: the event block will only populate if your ticketing platform is connected to Hive or if you have manually imported event data.


Save time with duplicate event blocks

Instead of reformatting every block, simply duplicate a styled event block. This copies over your formatting so all you need to do is click Change Event and pick a new one.

To duplicate:

  • Hover over the formatted event block in your template.

  • Click the duplicate icon in the bottom right corner.


Change event block layout

Every event block can be displayed in different styles:

  • Vertical layout

  • Horizontal layout

  • Horizontal (Minimal): Text-only

To change the layout:

  • Click on the event block in your template.

  • In the right sidebar under Layout, select your preferred option from the dropdown.


Quickly create a list of events

If you’re promoting multiple events, you can create a clean line-up quickly:

  1. Drag and drop an event block into your template.

  2. In the Layout dropdown, select Horizontal.

  3. Format the event block to your liking.

  4. Duplicate it and simply use Change Event to swap in the next event.

This way, your design stays consistent and you save time.


Upload new event images

You can upload your own event images directly into the event block:

  1. Drag and drop the Events block into your template and select your event.

  2. In the right sidebar, upload a new image from your computer or paste an image URL.

  3. Click Edit Image to crop, resize, add filters, or overlay text.

Add custom event descriptions

In the event block’s right sidebar, use the Event Description section to update or customize your event text.

Want more control over styling? Drag and drop a text box underneath the block. This allows you to bold, underline, or highlight specific parts of the description without changing the entire block.
