Google Forms integration via Zapier

Integrate Hive with over 10,000+ apps through our Zapier integration

Written by Mark

Hive integrates with Zapier so you can sync contacts from thousands of apps by creating a Zap. To see what’s possible, check Zapier’s list of supported apps.

What is a Zap

A Zap is an automated workflow that connects another app to Hive. When a trigger happens in the other app (for example, a new form submission), Zapier runs an action in Hive (for example, add or update a contact).

Before you start, make sure you have:

  • A Hive account with access to the brand you want to sync into

  • A Zapier account

  • A Google Form that writes responses to a Google Sheet

Steps

  1. In Zapier, click + Create.

  2. Choose the trigger app: search for and select Google Forms.

  3. Select the trigger event: new or updated response in spreadsheet, then click continue.

  4. Connect your Google account: click sign in to Google Forms, authenticate, and click continue.

  5. Choose your spreadsheet and worksheet. Optionally select a specific column to use as the trigger. Click continue.

  6. Test the trigger: click test trigger. If successful, Zapier will find a sample response. Click continue.

Add the Hive action

  1. Choose the action app: search for and select Hive.co.

  2. Select the action event: add/update contact, then click continue.

  3. Connect your Hive account: select your account or sign in, grant Zapier access, and click continue.

  4. Choose the brand you want to sync contacts to.

  5. Select segments: pick an existing segment or choose custom to type a new segment name or map a value from the trigger.

  6. Map fields: use the “type or insert field” drop downs to map Google Forms fields (for example, email, first name, phone).

  7. Click continue, then test & continue to send a sample contact to Hive.

  8. Turn it on

  9. Click done editing, give your Zap a clear name, and turn it on.

Verify the sync

In Hive, open your contact list to confirm the test contact appears in the selected segment and in the automatically created “Zapier” segment.

All set! New or updated responses in your Google Form will now sync to Hive automatically. If you have questions, contact support@hive.co
