Who can do this: Brand Owner/Admin (or any user with Billing permissions)
You’ll need: A valid credit or debit card and a billing address
Step 1: Sign in
Go to app.hive.co and log in.
If you have access to multiple Brands, make sure you’re in the correct one using the Brand toggle at the top-left.
Step 2: Open billing
Step 3: Add or update payment method
Click Payment Methods (or Edit if replacing an existing card).
Enter your card number, expiration date, CVC, and billing address.
Click Add.
Step 4: Confirm It Saved
You’ll see the new card listed under Payment Method as the default.
Update your billing in Hive and reach out to support@hive.co with any questions.

Why is this change happening?
This update simplifies SMS and MMS billing and gives you access to new tools within Hive:
You’ll pay-as-you-go directly from Hive, no more deductions from settlements.
Gain better visibility into your SMS costs and reporting.
Estimate campaign costs upfront and view your full SMS spend history in one place.
When will the new billing start?
Starting November 1, 2025, all SMS/MMS usage will be billed directly through Hive. Any messages sent before November 1 will continue to be billed through Eventim/See Tickets.
How will the pricing change?
$0.02 per SMS (160 characters)
$0.05 per MMS (1600 characters)
(Previously $0.03 SMS // $0.07 MMS; carrier fees not included)
Are there any additional fees?
Yes, a $0.50 monthly add-on fee for SMS usage, plus standard carrier fees per message.
How do I make sure my SMS campaigns continue without interruption?
Before November 1, 2025, ensure you (or your admin) add a valid payment method directly in Hive:
Log in to your Hive account.
Click your name in the bottom-left navigation.
Go to Billing → Payment Method.
Contact support@hive.co if you need assistance.
Will this impact my SMS automations?
Yes. Your SMS automations will not be sent until billing is updated.
Can I pay by ACH (bank transfer)?
Not at this time, only credit card payments are accepted through Hive.
Can I pay quarterly or yearly?
No, billing is month-to-month only.
Do I need to resubmit carrier registration?
No, your existing toll-free number and carrier registration remain valid. Only billing is changing.
