Tracking allows you to add pixel IDs once and have them automatically applied to new Capture pages you publish, including:
Contests
Presales
Landing Pages
Signup Forms
This ensures engagement activity from your Capture pages is consistently sent to your advertising and analytics platforms.
Tracking helps teams avoid missed pixels, reduce setup time, and maintain consistent campaign data.
Within the Tracking tab you can also add your Metaβs Conversions API.
Supported Tracking Platforms
Hive supports tracking from the following platforms:
Meta (Dataset / Pixel ID)
Google Analytics
TikTok
Snapchat
Twitter (X)
Reddit
These pixels send engagement data from your Capture pages to your advertising platform.
How the data is used such as audience creation or ad optimization, happens within the ad platform itself.
Where to Set Up Tracking
To configure tracking:
Log into Hive
Navigate to Ads β Tracking
Click +ADD TRACKING
Select Build & Retarget Audiences
Enter in the Dataset ID from Meta
Name the Dataset so you can easily recognize it
Select + CONTINUE
Confirm information is correct
Select +CONFIRM
Once saved, these pixels will automatically apply to new Capture pages you create and publish.
How Tracking Works
When a new Capture page is published:
Hive checks for Tracking Pixels configured in Ads β Tracking
Those pixels are automatically applied to the page
Engagement events are sent when users interact with the page
This ensures every new capture experience launches with tracking already active.
Adding Tracking to Individual Capture Pages
Tracking can also be added directly to a specific Capture page.
When added at the page level:
The page-specific pixel combines with the Tracking pixels set in Ads β Tracking
The additional pixel applies only to that page
This is helpful for campaigns that require partner tracking or custom pixels.
When to Use Tracking
Tracking is recommended if you:
Run multiple Capture campaigns
Want consistent tracking across all pages
Want to avoid manually adding pixels to every new campaign
Use retargeting in your advertising platforms
Because Tracking is applied automatically, it helps ensure every Capture page launches with tracking already in place.
When to Use Page-Level Tracking Instead
You may choose to add tracking directly to a Capture page when:
Different campaigns require different pixels
You are running co-promotions with partners
You need custom tracking for a specific campaign
The page is already created before you input your pixels
β
Adding Multiple Pixel IDs
Multiple Pixel IDs can be added by separating them with commas:
111111111111111, 222222222222222
This is helpful when multiple partners require tracking.
Embedded Capture Tools
Embedded Capture Tools (such as Popup Forms or Embedded Signup Forms) live directly on your website.
Hive does not automatically inject tracking pixels into embedded tools to avoid interfering with tracking already installed on your site.
If you want pixel events to fire for embedded forms, you can add tracking using the onFormSubmitSuccess callback in the embed code.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do Tracking Pixels apply to pages I already created?
No. Tracking Pixels only apply automatically to Capture pages created after you configure them in Ads β Tracking. For existing pages, youβll need to manually add pixels at the page level if you want tracking to apply.
What happens if I add Tracking Pixels after publishing a page?
Newly configured Tracking Pixels will not retroactively apply to already published pages. You must update those pages individually to include tracking.
Can I use both global Tracking and page-level tracking?
Yes. Page-level tracking will be added on top of your global Tracking Pixels. This allows you to include additional or partner-specific pixels for individual campaigns.
Will Tracking Pixels apply to embedded forms or popups on my website?
No. Hive does not automatically apply Tracking Pixels to embedded Capture Tools. If needed, you can trigger tracking using the onFormSubmitSuccess callback in your embed code.
Can I add multiple Pixel IDs?
Yes. You can add multiple Pixel IDs by separating them with commas. This is useful for tracking across multiple ad accounts or partners.
Does Hive control how my tracking data is used?
No. Hive sends engagement data to your selected platforms, but how that data is used (e.g., audience building, optimization) is controlled within each ad platform.
