Connect Shopify to leverage your customer data in Hive

Written by Mark

Connecting your Shopify store to Hive automatically imports and updates customer data, giving you a clear picture of who your customers are and how they shop. With this integration, you can:

  • Run purchase-based automations (e.g., abandoned cart, browse abandonment)

  • Add product recommendation blocks to your email templates

  • Access advanced reporting on revenue and engagement

  • Filter and segment contacts by purchased items, Shopify tags, or collections

Steps to connect Shopify to Hive

In your Hive account, navigate to the Integrations page from the left hand menu.

Scroll to the Shopify tile under the E-commerce Platforms section, add in your store name and click Connect.

That’s it! The integration usually takes about 30–60 minutes to fully configure and start syncing.

With this integration, Hive will:

  • Import your Shopify customers into your Contact list.

  • Keep profiles updated as new interactions and purchases happen.

  • Create Shopify segments automatically.

Pro tip: If you want to make the most of your Shopify data, check out this help article on how to leverage the pre-built Shopify automations.
