To comply with U.S. and Canadian anti-spam laws, all marketing emails must include a valid physical mailing address. This isn’t just a best practice — it’s a legal requirement that helps recipients identify your brand and know how to opt out or reach you if needed.
Because Hive sends emails on your behalf, you’ll need to add a mailing address in your Hive settings — even if your business isn’t physically located in the U.S. or Canada. Without one, your emails may:
Be flagged as spam
Be blocked by inbox providers
Expose your business to fines and penalties
Why this matters
Builds trust — A visible address shows recipients that your brand is legitimate.
Protects deliverability — ISPs and spam filters look for this information when deciding if your email belongs in the inbox or spam folder.
Keeps you compliant — Missing a mailing address can lead to fines (up to $43,792 per violation under CAN-SPAM, and up to $10M under CASL).
How to add your mailing address in Hive
In Hive, go to:
Campaigns > Email > Email Settings > Legal Postal AddressEnter your valid physical mailing address.
Save your changes.
